US-Friedensaktivisten und Politikern kamen am 24. und 25. August
2007 in Kennebunkport, Maine,
am Familiensitz des US-Präsidenten zusammen und
veröffentlichten folgendes Dokument.
Uns sind schwerwiegende Beweise bekannt geworden, die zeigen, dass die Unterstützer, Hintermänner und Allierte von Vizepräsident Dick Cheney entschlossen sind in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten einen neuen Terroranschlag, ähnlich dem 11.September auszuführen und zu inszenieren, sowie eine Kriegsprovokation, vergleichbar mit der des Golf von Tonkin auszuführen. Solche Ereignisse würden von der Bush-Regierung dazu ausgenutzt werden, um einen aggressiven Krieg gegen den Iran zu beginnen, u.U. mit Nuklearwaffen, und gleichzeitig ein mit Kriegsrechten ausgestattetes Regime in den USA zu installieren.Wir rufen hiermit das Repräsentantenhaus dazu auf, ein sofortiges Amtsenthebungsverfahren gegen Vizepräsidenten Cheney einzuleiten, als dringend notwendige Massnahme, um einen sich ausweitenden und katastrophalen Krieg zu verhindern. Sobald das Amtsenthebungsverfahren begonnen hat, wird es für loyale und patriotische Offiziere im Militär einfacher sein, illegalen Befehlen der Cheney Fraktion nicht Folge zu leisten.Wir warnen die Menschen in der ganzen Welt, dass bei jedem terroristischen Angriff mit Massenvernichtungswaffen, der in der nächsten Zukunft in den USA oder anderswo stattfindet zunächst von einer Urheberschaft der Cheney Fraktion ausgegangen werden muss. Wir rufen verantwortungsvolle politische Führer überall dazu auf, sofort damit zu beginnen der öffentlichen Meinung in ihren Ländern die Gefahren einer solchen Terroroperation unter falscher Flagge klarzumachen.
To the American people, and to peace loving individuals everywhere:
Massive evidence has come to our attention which shows that the backers, controllers, and allies of Vice President Dick Cheney are determined to orchestrate and manufacture a new 9/11 terror incident, and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin war provocation over the coming weeks and months. Such events would be used by the Bush administration as a pretext for launching an aggressive war against Iran, quite possibly with nuclear weapons, and for imposing a regime of martial law here in the United States. We call on the House of Representatives to proceed immediately to the impeachment of Cheney, as an urgent measure for avoiding a wider and more catastrophic war. Once impeachment has begun, it will be easier for loyal and patriotic military officers to refuse illegal orders coming from the Cheney faction. We solemnly warn the people of the world that any terrorist attack with weapons of mass destruction taking place inside the United States or elsewhere in the immediate future must be considered the prima facie responsibility of the Cheney faction. We urge responsible political leaders everywhere to begin at once to inoculate the public opinion of their countries against such a threatened false flag terror operation.
