Money As Debt
47 min
Paul Grignon's 47-minute animated presentation of "Money as Debt" tells in very simple and effective graphic terms what money is and how it ... all » is being created. It is an entertaining way to get the message out. The Cowichan Citizens Coalition and its "Duncan Initiative" received high praise from those who previewed it. I recommend it as a painless but hard-hitting educational tool and encourage the widest distribution and use by all groups concerned with the present unsustainable monetary system in Canada and the United States. Hemp Revolution
part 1 - 34 min
From describing the production of a fibre much more durable and economic than wood, the documentary discusses hemps multilateral uses as e.g. food products, as a non-polluting fuel and as a pharmaceutical product with much less griveous sideeffects than chemical pharmaceutical products. The film also investigates why America went from a country which produced vast quantities of the non-narcotic industrial hemp, to the complete ban on hemp production in 1938. This story in particular is interesting, and it points out that the large oilbased industries actually had a key role in the aforementioned ban. Food for thought! The conclusion of the documentary could be that hemp may prove to be a valid alternative to both oil and wood in the future. Video Google Part 1

Trial run for 9/11-Oklahoma City 1995
5 min
On April 19, 1995, six years before 9/11, there was another "terrorist attack" in the US that killed 168 and injured over 800. Immediately after the attack, a blizzard of "domestic terrorism" legislation was rushed into Congress in a matter of days. Items considered included: suspension of habeas corpus in terrorism cases and making it a crime punishable by up to five years in prison to publish "baseless conspiracy theories regarding the Federal government of the United States." The government claim was that two men - home grown "anti-government" terrorists - conspired to detonate a truck bomb made of fertilizer in front of the Murrah Building, a federal office building. The building contained the offices of several federal law enforcement agencies. All happened to be away from their offices the morning of the attack. One of the world's leading authorities on conventional weapons - Brigadier General Benton Parton (ret.) - stated it was physically impossible for a truck bomb alone to do the kind of damage that was done to the building. Partin requested a Congressional inquiry. He also requested samples from the collapsed building. Both requests were denied. The FBI which spent $81 million to investigate the attack, declined to make use of Partin's data and analysis. You Tube
Afghan Massacre - The Convoy of Death
Jamie Doran 53 min.
Produced and directed by Irish filmmaker and former BBC producer Jamie Doran, the film tells the story of thousands of prisoners who ... all » surrendered to the US military's Afghan allies after the siege of Kunduz. According to the film, some three thousand of the prisoners were forced into sealed containers and loaded onto trucks for transport to Sheberghan prison. When the prisoners began shouting for air, U.S.-allied Afghan soldiers fired directly into the truck, killing many of them. The rest suffered through an appalling road trip lasting up to four days, so thirsty they clawed at the skin of their fellow prisoners as they licked perspiration and even drank blood from open wounds. Witnesses say that when the trucks arrived and soldiers opened the containers, most of the people inside were dead. They also say US Special Forces re-directed the containers carrying the living and dead into the desert and stood by as survivors were shot and buried. Now, up to three thousand bodies lie buried in a mass grave. Outraged human rights groups and lawyers are calling for an investigation but the U.N. special envoy to Afghanistan refuses any U.N.-backed investigation until the Afghan government can protect witnesses. Two of the witnesses in the film have already been killed. Video Google

BBC - The Trap - What Happened to Our Dreams of Freedom
59 Min
he Trap is a series of three films by Bafta-winning producer Adam Curtis that explains the origins of our contemporary, narrow idea of freedom.
It shows how a simplistic model of human beings as self-seeking, almost robotic, creatures led to today's idea of freedom. This model was derived from ideas and techniques developed by nuclear strategists during the Cold War to control the behaviour of the Soviet enemy.
